It's a Pioneer CLD-V2400 laserdisc player. It's an commercial model, so it's not too fancy, but I got it for free. The only thing I needed to fix was a frozen laser carriage. Once I got it moving, it worked perfectly. I may need to regrease the carriage if it does it again. Now, I need to get some laserdiscs.

How big is a laserdisc you ask? Here's the tray open with a standard compact disc for size comparison.

Not only this, but a lot of times the laserdisc had to be flipped over in the middle of the movie, like a vinyl record which was also about the same size....

Even better, some movies came on two laserdiscs. Not only would you need to flip the first disc, but you would need to change it out half way through the movie, too.

I actually got this one from a teacher from my old high school. The school decided that every room in the science wing needed a laserdisc player. Needless to say, they don't get used anymore.
